Statuses of Field & Community Services Cases and Activities

When a new Field & Community Services activity or case is created, it can be assigned a status of New or Open depending on whether any work will start on it right away.

New activities or cases will be lightly highlighted when reviewing your main Field & Community Services dashboard and can be opened directly from the dashboard anytime using the button on the right side of the card:

Additionally, if you've clicked directly into the new case or activity card to open the detailed view, it can also be opened from the status button in the top right corner:

If you make any updates to an activity or case that is still in New status, you will be prompted to change the status to Open as seen below:

Detailed overview of Field & Community Services Statuses:

Cases

New

  • Indicates that work has not started on the activity yet
  • Indicates that work has not started on the case yet

Open

  • Work is in progress on the activity
  • Work is in progress on the case

Completed

(cases only)

  • N/A
  • Work has been completed on the case, can be reopened as needed

Closed

  • Work has been completed on the activity, can be reopened as needed
  • Completed case has been reviewed by a supervisor and no further edits can be made on it, cannot be reopened (note: only users with the supervisor-level permission can close a case)
