What do I do if I process an adoption using the wrong person record?

If you have processed an adoption using the wrong person record, you'll want to delete the outcome from the Outcomes tab in Record Management, then process a new adoption outcome using the correct person record. See below for specific instructions regarding deleting outcomes in record management:

Please Note: It is important to note that in this case, you will not want to process an adoption return before adopting the animal out to the correct adopter as that would add an additional Outcome (adoption outcome to the incorrect adopter) and an additional Intake (adoption return) in reporting that should not have happened.

In addition, Shelterluv will bill you for all adoption outcomes that happened in the prior month, so you would be double charged for the adoption outcome unless you delete the outcome completely in Record Management, then outcome again to the correct person.
