How do I collect deposits or track vouchers?

You can configure deposit/voucher items in your Configuration > Shopping Cart > Non Adoption Items. You can configure this item with the fields desired, just be sure to select the Item Type as Deposits.

Once these items are added to a shopping cart and the transaction has been processed, you will be able to track these items through the Deposits Taken Quick Report. This report has a status for Outstanding, Redeemed, and Forfeited deposits.

Following the transaction, deposits are automatically in the Outstanding Status. The status can be updated from the Person Record > Purchases that the transaction was processed on. By selecting the green action button and selecting Update Accounting, you'll be able to select the new status, either Redeemed or Forfeited, and the Cash Drawer you'd like the transaction applied to.
