There are several different system generated Memo Types for animals and people. See below for a brief description of each type:
Animal Record Memos
- Kennel Card/Website memos will be what displays on the animal's kennel card and on the website if you use Shelterluv's iframe or aggregator uploads (for example, auto-uploads to Petfinder).
- Behavior memos will display on the system generated memos document and are used to give information about an animal's behavioral tendencies to an adopter.
- Medical memos will display at the top of the animal's Medical History document.
- History memos will display on the system generated memos document and are used to include any previous historical data about an animal that is not entered in the medical module. Examples would include previous medical, living conditions, diet, etc.
- Private** memos should be used when you have an internal note that you do not want to be included on the animal's system generated "Memos" document. These memos will also be hidden from users who do not have the "Create and Edit Animal Records" permission.
- Pop-up memos will display as a light red box at the top of the animal's record when you first open it. This memo type is useful for important information that you would want users to see immediately upon opening the animal's record.
- Next Steps memos will display on the system generated memos document and also populates onto the Location Survey Quick Report. This memo is used to communicate the plan moving forward for the animal, this memo is usually helpful for foster animals.
- Foster memos will display on the system generated memos document and are populated through the foster portal by foster parents. This memo is used to communicate things learned about the animal by the foster parent.
- Transport List memos will display on the system generated memos document and the Transport List document when a transport list is created (see How do I create a transport list?)
