For accidental duplicate intakes, you can delete the duplicate from Settings > Record Management by selecting the intake and clicking the "Delete Selected" button.
We also try to prevent duplicate animal records by cross-checking the animal's microchip number. On any of the intake forms, if you try to enter a microchip number that already exists on another animal's record within your account, you will not be able to complete the intake and will be redirected to the original animal record instead.
We are unable to merge animal records at this time. If you have two separate records for the same animal and both have intake/outcome data, you should keep both records. On each one, you can reference the other record's ID number in a pop-up memo. This will make it clear to anyone accessing these records that there is additional data in another record.
