If you haven't been upgraded yet, you’ll receive an email and see a product banner in Shelterluv with your migration date as soon as it has been assigned.
Preparation Instructions

Process Pending Transactions: Complete or delete any pending Shelterpay transactions before your upgrade date. Any transactions not completed will not move to your upgraded account.
Accept Transfers: Accept any pending transfers that you want to process the intake for. Any pending transfers not accepted before your account upgrade will not appear in your upgraded account. - Switch to the Custom Kennel Card Builder: If you're using Quick Templates, please switch to the Custom Kennel Card Builder.

Make Plans for After Your Upgrade
After your account has been upgraded, you'll want to have one or two people available to complete a few tasks and review your account configurations, paying particular attention to the items below. A printable task list is provided for convenience.
We’re here to help throughout this transition. As with any data migration, some issues may arise. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work through them as quickly as possible. Please email help@shelterluv.com with any questions now or at any time. Response times are longer than we are all accustomed to because of the migration, but we do want to hear from you.
July 2024 New Feature!
Practice Accounts Are Now Open!
It’s time to check out your New Shelterluv Experience practice account! Don’t delay; the practice account will be available until Tuesday, August 20.
Get started by clicking on the gear menu in the top right corner of your Shelterluv account and selecting “Preview New Shelterluv.”
Login Credentials:
- Username: Your existing Shelterluv username
- Password: The part of your username after the organization prefix (e.g. user "xyz_asmith" would use "asmith" as their password)
This account is for practicing in the new experience only. Practice data entered here will NOT be retained after the practice period ends. Please continue to use your existing Shelterluv account for real data until your migration, which will occur at a later date.
Things to Know
- When you first login to your practice account, please reset your password to something only you would know. You will be prompted to do that from the My Account page.

We recommend spending at least one hour of practicing
your normal, daily
tasks to get familiar with the new experience.
- It is critical that you take full advantage of your time in your practice account because, once your real data gets migrated into the new experience later this summer, you will no longer have access to the older version of Shelterluv.
- Some of your organization's partners may not appear within this practice account.
- Field Services and Integrations & APIs are not accessible from this practice account.
- The new Shelterluv experience has gone through hundreds of hours of testing. Still, it’s normal for new software versions to have a few unexpected issues at the start. If you experience any of these in your practice account, please email help@shelterluv.com so our team can investigate (screenshots are appreciated!). Please format the email subject line as "Practice Account: [short issue description]" (e.g., Practice Account: Animal Dashboard Sorting Error).
