How to Use the Foster Quick Reports

Quick reports are Shelterluv's standard, prebuilt reports that you can easily run without any report building. Once run, certain quick reports can be filtered, but they cannot be edited or customized.

If you need a more customized report, please use Shelterluv's Custom Reports.

This article will cover each quick report under the Foster tab in your quick reports. You can find all of the other quick reports in the Quick Reports section of the help center.

Each quick report has its own default sorting, but you can click any column header to quickly sort the report by that column in ascending or descending order. Additionally, each quick report can be exported to Excel, printed, or downloaded as a PDF.

What user permissions do I need to run quick reports?

  • Reporting

The Foster tab of your quick reports contains two prebuilt reports for you to take advantage of. Expand each section below to get details of each report and how it should be used:

  • The Foster Activity quick report will display one row per active foster parent during the selected date range.

The days and hours are dependent on each animal in foster care and are counted individually (e.g., a person fostering 2 dogs for 5 days during the selected date range would result in 10 days, and a person fostering 2 cats for 24 hours during the selected date range would result in 48 hours). It will not include days and hours outside of the selected date range.

Use the current snapshot toggle to filter the results to only foster parents active at this moment, as long as the date range includes the current date.

Total Foster Hours for animals [one column per species] Animal ID(s) [one column per species]

  • The Active Foster Animals quick report will display all animals in foster care within the selected date range, along with their foster parent. An animal that was in foster care more than once within the selected date range will have an additional row per stay.
