Task Manager Overview

The Task Manager keeps you on top of what needs to be done every day. This helps you make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

For example, if a member of your staff comes to work in the morning after being off for 2 days, how do they know what needs to be done? The Task Manager interface solves this issue by rolling up all the to-do’s from around the organization and putting them in one place where everybody can see what needs to be completed.

As they are done, they get checked off and removed from the list.

Medical Tasks

For the medical tasks, you’ll find to-do lists for treatments, vaccines, procedures and surgeries, vet and tech exams, and diagnostic tests.

All of these tasks are pulled from the individual animal’s medical records. For example, a vaccine is scheduled for the animal from the animal’s record with a specific date for completion. When that date arrives, it displays in the Vaccines tab as a scheduled task for that day.

For a detailed look at completing medical tasks, please review How to Complete Medical Items with Tasks.

Behavioral Tasks

The behavioral tasks work in a similar way for behavior checks and playgroups. These tasks are created from the animal’s record with a specific targeted date. When that date arrives, it shows up as a task in this tab.

Applications

The outine-application.svg Applications tab is where you can manage all of the applications and forms that are submitted. You can search for specific applications as well as filter by application type, status, and assignee.

There are four statuses corresponding to the stages of the application: pending review, in process, accepted, and denied. Every submitted application will initially display in “pending review”.

From there you can review the application and update the status and assignee. When you accept or deny an application, you can choose to send the applicant an email directly from here. The system will automatically create a person record of the applicant for you, cutting down on your manual entry time!

Status Review

The final tab, Status Review, is where you will review any statuses of animals in care that may need to be updated.

For example, if you were to mark an animal as being “On Hold” upon intake, you can set a review date in the future that will prompt you to review the animal's status. This tool helps keep animals from getting lost in the shuffle.

You can find a step-by-step guide on adding and reviewing status review dates here - How to Add and Resolve a Status Review Date
