How to Add a Field/Wildlife Intake

Shelterluv makes it easy to process a field/wildlife intake from your person records. It is important to keep in mind that field/wildlife intakes can only be completed with a person record and cannot be done with a partner.

All field/wildlife intakes will start from the person record. To get started, navigate to the person record that is associated with the field/wildlife intake you are going to process.

Process the Intake

Once you're on the person record that is associated with the intake, follow the steps below to complete the intake.

Please note that the process is slightly different if you are intaking a new animal that is not in your account compared to re-intaking an existing animal record.

Click each tab to view the process for both scenarios:

  • Follow these steps to re-intake an outcomed animal that is associated with the person as a field/wildlife intake:

    1. On the person record, click the green outline-add-circle.svg Add Animal Event button.
    2. In the Add Animal Event form, click the intake-outline.svg Field/Wildlife In button.
    3. In the Field/Wildlife Reintakes form, check the box next to each animal you need to re-intake, then click the green Continue button.
    4. Complete the Field/Wildlife Intake form and then submit it. If you are re-intaking multiple animals, you will complete a separate intake form for each animal.

    Note
Just like stray intakes, a new field/wildlife intake will have a name automatically generated, but you can always change this on the intake form.
