Your non-adoption items are where you can add all of your services and retail items that you provide to the public. Essentially, if you have something you charge for that is not an adoption fee, you will want to add it here. A few examples would be:

  • Microchip implant fees
  • Rabies vaccination
  • Pet food
  • Collars/leashes
  • Owner surrender fees

Adding a new non-adoption item

To begin, navigate to your gear icon > Configuration > Shopping Cart > Non-Adoption Items.

In this section of the Shopping Cart Configurations, you can create and edit all non-adoption items that you might offer to the public. To start adding items, select the blue "Add New Shopping Item" option at the bottom.

Once selected, you will see a new form to add all the needed information for the non-adoption item.

There are a few fields that are mandatory that must be filled out to create a new item. These include item type, item number, item name, item price, and tax rate.

You can also track the inventory of any item you'd like by checking the "Track Inventory" box and entering the current inventory.

Once you are done, select the blue "Add Inventory" button to finish adding the non-adoption item to your account.
