Person records are one of the most essential parts of your Shelterluv account. This article will give you a high-level overview of a person record and provide additional supporting resources for each part for a more in-depth look.

Person name and contact information
At the top of each person record, you will see:
- Name and ID number
- Associated persons (partner, roommate, etc.)
- Street address, city, state, and zip code
- Phone number(s)
- Email address(es)
- Driver's license number
Note
Aside from the ID number, each field can be edited by clicking it. -
Attributes and Memos
Below the Applications and Field Services Record buttons, you will find the Attributes and Memos sections.
Use the Attributes section to view, add, or remove attributes on a person record. You can find details on this here.
Use the Memos section to view, add, edit, or delete memos on a person record. You can find details on this here.

Animals tab
The Animals tab will show all animal records that are associated with the person. This will include intakes from the person, such as a stray or owner surrender, outcomes to the person, such as an adoption, foster movements, custody changes, etc.
The Animals tab is also where you start all intakes, outcomes, foster movements, and custody changes. You can find details on each of these different events and step-by-step instructions here.

Foster Profile tab
Use the Foster tab for each of your foster parents to set up their animal preferences, capacity, and blackout dates. Find more details on foster profiles here.

Transactions tab
Use the Transactions tab to view all transactions associated with the person record and to start a new transaction using the green Add Transaction button. You can refund or void a transaction on this tab by clicking the three dots in the right corner. You can learn more about how to process non-adoption transactions by clicking here.

Applications tab
The Applications tab will show you submitted applications associated with that person.

Files tab
Use the Files tab to upload important documents to the person record, view system-generated documents such as a receipt or adoption contract, or email/print documents.

History tab
The History tab will contain three subtabs:
- The Events subtab will show you each intake, outcome, foster, or custody change event associated with the person.
- The Profile Edits subtab will show you every change a user has made to the person's profile.
- The Previous Shelter IDs subtab will store any previous IDs you might have for this person from a different software system.
