You can configure as many adoption price groups as you need in Shelterluv for each of your species. Your price groups can be configured to a default department and fund/GL code for quick and accurate accounting reporting.
Click your Username > Configuration > Transactions > Adoption Price Groups to get started.

How to Add a New Adoption Price Group
Follow these steps to add a new adoption price group:
- From the Adoption Price Groups configuration section, click the green
Add Price Group button.
- Fill out the Add Group Form and click the green Save button.
Form Fields:
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Animal Type | This controls which species can have this adoption price group. |
| Group Name | This is the price group name that your users will see. |
| Group Price | This is the price your adopters will see on your listings and in their checkout. |
| Department and Fund/GL Code | While optional, we strongly recommend setting a default department and fund/GL code for the price group to help with accurate and detailed transaction reporting. |
| Discount | Add a discount for any animals with this price group. |
| Discount Reason | This will provide clarity to your users and adopters by explaining why the discount is being applied. |
| Tax Rate | If you charge a tax % for your adoptions, you can add that here, and it will automatically be applied in your checkouts. |
