How the Foster Finder Works
The Foster Finder will display all person records that have the system-default Willing Foster attribute or person records that are actively fostering an animal record.
You can quickly generate a list of available fosters for any given situation by using the Filters button on the right side of the search bar. The filters will allow you to filter your fosters based on animal type, capacity, attributes, or a specific date range. You will also have the option to exclude active fosters or only display fosters without a foster profile.
The animal type, capacity, and date range filters are tied directly to the preferences in a foster's profile. To learn more about how the foster portal and Willing Foster attribute work, please click here.
Email Your Fosters
After you have applied the needed filters and generated the list of fosters that you need to contact, check the box in the header row to select all the records or check the individual boxes next to the needed fosters.
Use the Show Selected Only toggle to hide the rows you did not check off to get a better view of your selections.
After the needed boxes are checked, click the Email Selected button, adjust the Reply-To Email if needed, add the subject and message, and click the green Send button.
Export Your Fosters to Excel
You can export the current list of fosters using the Export Current View button. This option is best used after you have applied the needed filters to your list first.
Audit Fosters without Foster Profiles
You can easily get a list of person records that have the Willing Foster attribute but do not have a foster profile set up yet. To do this, click the Filters button on the right side of the search bar and check the box next to Show only fosters without foster profiles.
