Shelterluv's Playgroups feature is a great way to manage your playgroups or behavior activities that you might have scheduled at your facility. You can easily schedule and notate personality conflicts to ensure a safe environment for all your animals!

What user permissions do I need to use playgroups?

• Create & edit animal records

Note
Configuration is only accessible through a desktop or laptop. You cannot access the Configuration section on a mobile device.

Schedule Playgroups

Follow these steps to schedule a playgroup for an animal:

1. Navigate the appropriate animal record's profile.
2. Click the  Behavioral tab followed by the Playgroups subtab.
3. Toggle the Active toggle on.
4. Add a start date, end date, frequency, and any personality conflicts if applicable, then click the green Save button. The bottom of this article provides frequency definitions, should you need them.

Once you save, you will see the details in the Playgroups tab. You can turn the playgroup off at any time by toggling the Active toggle off.

Begin and End Playgroups

• Once you've scheduled a playgroup for an animal, follow these steps to begin the playgroup:

  1. Click Tasks in your menu bar.
  2. Click the Behavioral tab followed by the Playgroups subtab.
  3. [Optional] Adjust the date range or use the Show Overdue toggle to locate the appropriate animal. Use the Filters button to filter out animals that already have a playgroup started.
  4. Check the box on the left of the animal and then click the green Begin button (you can select multiple animals).
  5. The animal's status will now be updated from Not Started to In Progress.

  

• Once you've begun a playgroup for an animal, follow these steps to end it:

  1. Click Tasks in your menu bar.
  2. Click the Behavioral tab followed by the Playgroups subtab.
  3. [Optional] Adjust the date range or use the Show Overdue toggle to locate the appropriate animal. Use the Filters button to filter out animals that haven't had a playgroup started.
  4. Check the box on the left of the animal and then click the green End button (you can select multiple animals).

  

Playgroup History

Once you have begun and ended a playgroup for an animal, you will be able to view the animal's playgroup history on its Behavioral > Playgroups tab.
