Vet and tech exams can be scheduled and completed through Shelterluv's physical exam tool.

You can work with physical exams directly from an animal record. You also have the option to complete a scheduled physical exam from the Task Manager, which you can learn more about here - How to Complete Medical Items with Tasks

Configuration is only accessible through a desktop or laptop. You cannot access the Configuration section on a mobile device.

How to Schedule a Physical Exam

You can schedule a vet or tech exam from an animal record via the Add Check button or the Medical > Physical Exams tab.

• Follow these steps to schedule a physical exam from the Add Check button:

  • Click the Add Check button on the right-hand side of the animal's profile picture.

  • Choose either the Schedule Vet Exam or Schedule Tech Exam option.

  • Fill in the target date, clinic, exam reason, and notes, and click the green Scheduled Exam button.

  

• Follow these steps to schedule a physical exam from the Physical Exams tab:

  • From the animal record, click the Medical > Physical Exams tab.

  • Click the Schedule Physical Exam button.

  • Fill in the exam type (tech or vet), the scheduled date, clinic, exam reason, and notes on the form on the right-hand side of your screen.

  

After you schedule a physical exam, you will see it highlighted in blue under the Medical > Physical Exams tab. Select the arrow on the right-hand side to view the exam's details.

How to Complete a Physical Exam

You can complete a new or scheduled physical exam on an animal record.

• Follow these steps to complete a scheduled physical exam:

  • From the animal record, click the Medical > Physical Exams tab.

  • Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the appropriate exam and choose Complete from the dropdown menu.

  • Fill out the form, and click the green Complete Exam button.

  

• Follow these steps to complete a new physical exam:

  • From the animal record, click the Medical > Physical Exams tab.

  • Click the Complete Physical Exam button.

  • Fill out the form, and click the green Complete Exam button.

  

After you complete a physical exam, you will see it highlighted in grey under the Medical > Physical Exams tab. Select the arrow on the right-hand side to view the completed exam's details.

How to Edit or Delete a Physical Exam

• Follow these steps to edit a physical exam:

  • Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the physical exam and choose Edit from the dropdown menu.

  • Make your adjustments and click the green Update Exam button to save your changes.

  

• Follow these steps to delete a physical exam:

  • Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the physical exam and choose Delete from the dropdown menu.
  • Read the warning and click the red Delete button.

  

  You can view any deleted physical exams from the Show Deleted Physical Exams button.

  

  Warning
  You cannot restore physical exams that you delete.
