How to Configure Your Field Services Case and Activity References

We understand that you may be working with partner agencies, such as your local police department or other agency, when responding to and helping with animal-related cases or activities in your community.

You can go to your Field Services module and click your Username > Configuration > Reference Types to get started.

What user permissions do I need to configure my Field Services reference types?

  • Field & Community Services access (Shelterluv user permission to access the module)
  • Can edit configuration (Field Services module user permission)

Toggling Reference Types


We have included a reference feature to record these additional details if they are available. Reference types can be toggled on/off by clicking on the eye show.svg next to each one. This helps streamline your process by only showing the violation types and results that pertain to your organization.

Available Reference Types


The following reference types are available in your Field Services module.

  • Ticket #
  • Appearance Ticket #
  • Arrest #
  • NTC Ticket # (Notice to Comply)
  • Docket #
  • Partner Case #
  • Imported ID #
  • Complaint #

You cannot create custom reference types.
