Age groups in Shelterluv are completely configurable to meet your organization's needs. Each species can have as many as you need.

Click your Username > Configuration > Age Groups to get started.

Configuration is only accessible through a desktop or laptop. You cannot access the Configuration section on a mobile device.

Overview

You will see a list of species once you select the Age Groups section. The species you see here depends on the species you toggled in the Animal Population section of your configurations. For more details on your animal population, please take a look at How to Configure Your Animal Population.

How to Add a New Age Group

Follow these steps to create a new age group:

1. From the Age Groups configuration section, click the appropriate species followed by the green Edit Age Groups button.
2. Click the Add Age Group button.
3. Enter the age group's name and minimum/maximum age, and click the green Add Age Group button.

Note
Your age groups must cover all ages without any gaps. Individual age groups cannot overlap with each other. The oldest age group cannot contain a maximum age.

How to Edit and Delete an Age Group

• Follow these steps to edit an age group:
  • From the Age Groups configuration section, click the appropriate species followed by the green Edit Age Groups button.
  • Click directly on the underlined name, minimum age, or maximum age.

  • Make your adjustments and click the green Save button.

  

• Follow these steps to delete an age group:
  • From the Age Groups configuration section, click the appropriate species followed by the green Edit Age Groups button.
  • Click the trashcan on the right-hand side of the age group.

  • Read the warning and click the red Delete button.
