How to Upload Photos and Link Videos to an Animal Record

Uploading photos or linking a video to your animal records is easy to do with Shelterluv's drag-and-drop features and intuitive user interface.

What user permissions do I need to upload photos and videos to an animal record?

Uploading a photo to an animal record


Follow these steps to upload a photo to an animal record:

  1. From the animal record, click the camera camera-outline.svg in the lower right-hand corner of the animal's profile picture.
  2. Either drag and drop your photo to upload it or select the browse option to find the photo that is saved on your computer.
  3. Edit the photo as needed using the image editor and click the green Done button to save. You can find a complete walkthrough of  Shelterluv's photo editor here - How to Use Shelterluv's Photo Editor
  4. Click the green Add Image button.
  5. [Optional] Click the Make Primary button to make the photo the profile picture. Use the Publish toggle to include the photo in your website and aggregator uploads.

Note
There is no limit to the number of photos you can upload to an animal's record. Shelterluv supports .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, and .heic file types.

Linking a video to an animal record


Follow these steps to link a video to an animal record:

  1. From the animal record, click the camera camera-outline.svg in the lower right-hand corner of the animal's profile picture.
  2. Click the Videos tab.
  3. Paste the YouTube video link into the blank field and click the greed Add Video button.

Note
Shelterluv does not support uploading videos directly to the animal's record. Ensure that all videos are uploaded to YouTube first, so you can copy/paste the link as shown above.
