How to Create a User Account
Follow these steps to create a new user account:
- From User Management, click the green
Add User button.
- Fill out the Add User form with the new user's first & last name, username, email address, and password.
- Click the green Add User button to create the new user account.
Note
User accounts require a unique email address since it is associated with a specific user account. Otherwise, the password reset flow wouldn't be able to identify which user account requested a new password.
If a user needs multiple user accounts but only has one email address, you can enter the email address with a +1 at the end to bypass the duplicate checker. For example, help@shelterluv.com would be entered as help+1@shelterluv.com to avoid the duplicate email address error, yet any emails sent to the address with a +1 would still be routed to help@shelterluv.com. This allows the user to still receive the new account email with their username and password, so they will be able to log in without any trouble.
