What is Doobert and How to Set Up the Automatic Integration

Doobert is an animal transport platform that helps bring together animals needing transport and transporters. Through the Shelterluv integration, all the animals you specify will be automatically uploaded to your Doobert account, making planning and executing transports even easier.

Follow the simple two steps below to integrate with Doobert:

Create a New Animal Attribute

To mark which animals should display in your Doobert account, you need to create a new animal attribute called Transferable-Doobert.

The attribute must have this exact spelling and spacing to connect to Doobert successfully.
  1. Click your username > Configuration > Attributes. 
  2. Click an animal type that you'd like to display on Doobert. 
  3. Select the Add New outline-add-circle.svg button at the bottom of the Custom Behavior Attributes section.
  4. Enter Transferable-Doobert as the attribute's name, and click the green checkmark check.svg
  5. Select Yes for Publish to Web (the default setting is no)
  6. Repeat for each animal type that you would like to connect to Doobert.

By default, the attribute will not publish to your kennel cards or be included with your adoption disclaimers. You can edit these default settings if you would like to display this attribute in these places. These settings will not impact how the attribute connects with Doobert.

Request an API Key for Your Doobert Integration

To get an API key for Doobert, please submit this form. You can learn more information here: How to Generate an API Key

Once you receive the API key from Shelterluv's support team, copy and paste it into your Doobert account under the Shelterluv integration option.

Choosing Animals to Display in Your Doobert Account

If you want to display an animal in your Doobert account, mark the animal with your new Transferable-Doobert attribute. That will indicate to Doobert that their system should pull that animal's information into your Doobert account via the API.
