How do we manually register microchips with Found Animals/24Pet?

  • Updated
To register microchips that were added to the animal's record post-adoption, you can either log into your found.org account, or send a manual upload file to Found Animals. You can also do this for any period when your auto-uploads were not working as expected.

Adopted Animals

  1. Run the 'Adopter Support' Quick Report (under the Adopter tab) for the date range that covers the adoptions of these animals
  2. Export the report as Excel
  3. Delete the columns for Animal ID, By, and Outcome Subtype
  4. Split the Associated Person field into First Name and Last Name, then delete the associated person column (Important: Found Animals cannot process the file unless first and last name are in separate columns. Do not forget this step!)
  5. Email the file to the Found Animals Registry support team at clientcare@found.org and ask them to manually upload it to your registry account
