To register microchips that were added to the animal's record post-adoption, you can either log into your found.org account, or send a manual upload file to Found Animals. You can also do this for any period when your auto-uploads were not working as expected.
Adopted Animals
- Run the 'Adopter Support' Quick Report (under the Adopter tab) for the date range that covers the adoptions of these animals
- Export the report as Excel
- Delete the columns for Animal ID, By, and Outcome Subtype
- Split the Associated Person field into First Name and Last Name, then delete the associated person column (Important: Found Animals cannot process the file unless first and last name are in separate columns. Do not forget this step!)
- Email the file to the Found Animals Registry support team at clientcare@found.org and ask them to manually upload it to your registry account
Animals Still in Your Custody
- Build a Custom Entities Animals Report for In Custody animals and select "Current Snapshot"
- Click "Add Rule" once and do not select a rule
- Click "Customize Report Columns" and make sure these columns are selected:
- Intake Date
- Animal Name
- Species
- Primary Breed
- Sex
- Date of Birth
- Microchip Number
- Run the report and export it as Excel
- Add a new column with the header "Email Address"
- On every row of the "Email Address" column, enter the email address associated with your Found Animals Registry account
- Email the file to the Found Animals Registry support team at clientcare@found.org and ask them to manually upload it to your registry account
Animals Transferred Out
- Build a Custom Events Outcome Report for the date range you'd like to be included
- Click "Add Rule" and add a Rule for the Outcome type to match "Transfer Out"
- Click "Customize Report Columns" and make sure these columns are selected:
- Animal ID #
- Animal Name
- Species
- Primary Breed
- Sex
- Microchip Number
- Outcome Date
- Transfer To
- Run the report and export it as Excel
- Add a new column with the header "Email Address"
- On every row of the "Email Address" column, enter the email address associated with the transfer partner's found.org account (you'll have to get this information from your transfer partners).
- Email the file to the Found Animals Registry support team at clientcare@found.org and ask them to manually upload it to your registry account
