Knowing where your adopters are coming from and how they hear about you is vital to any shelter or rescue. This is why Shelterluv gives you the ability to record this information when completing adoptions.
Configuring your marketing reasons
Begin by navigating to your gear icon > Configuration > Marketing.
From here, select the blue "Add Options" button to add all the different ways your adopters may have heard about your organization. A few examples include:
- Word of Mouth
- Any local pet stores
- Drive by
Use the "Edit" option to update the name or the "Delete" option to completely delete the item from the list.
Using your marketing reasons
Once you have all of your options configured, they will populate into the "How did you hear about us?" pop-up during the adoption checkout process. This can be enabled by navigating to your gear icon > Configurations > Intake and Outcome > Outcome Forms > Adoption. Reporting on marketing reasons
You can run the Custom Events Outcome Report to report on your adoption outcomes and the corresponding marketing reason that was selected during the checkout process. Make sure to create a rule to only show adoption outcomes and then customize your report columns to include the "How did you hear about us?" field.
