Setting up your outcome forms and subtypes

Before you start processing outcomes in Shelterluv, you should spend a little time configuring your outcome subtypes and outcome forms to help ensure you collect the information you need.

Outcome Subtypes

Outcome subtypes work very similarly to intake subtypes. They're a way to further describe in a systematic way the type of outcome that is being recorded. For example, your adoption subtypes can be a list of locations that your animal might have been adopted from (e.g. shelter vs. an off-site adoption event).

You can add new subtypes, as well as edit existing ones. You have to mark each subtype as whether it will be towards outcome numbers for reporting purposes and whether it's a live outcome.

You can also choose to set a default subtype value for each outcome if you wish. This will just pre-fill this field when you start an outcome form, it can always be edited from there.

Outcome Forms

Outcome forms can be configured from the same section as outcome subtypes. You'll see options to configure your outcomes PLUS your checkout flow.

You can configure your outcome forms in a few ways. You can:

  • click and drag each field to rearrange the order of the fields
  • mark certain questions as either optional or required (with the * icon)
  • hide or display certain fields (with the eye icon),
