Currently in Shelterluv, requesting and completing vet or CVT checks are two separate steps. This article will walk you through both steps.
Requesting/Scheduling a Check
From the Animal's Record
To request or schedule a health check (a vet or CVT check), navigate to the animal's record and the Medical tab. On the Health Consults subtab, you'll see a blue "Request Health Check" button.
Clicking on either the Vet Check option or CVT Check option will trigger a pop-up that asks for the date for which the check is requested, the reason for which it's requested, and any notes for the check request.
Configuration Note: The drop-down options on the "Reason" field are configurable in Configuration by users with configuration permissions.
When you've completed the fields and clicked "Save", you'll see that a pending check now displays on the Health Checks subtab.
From a Physical Exam Form
You can also schedule or request a vet check while completing a physical exam form. At the very bottom of the form, you'll see two checkbox options: one for scheduling a vet check and one for scheduling a CVT check.
Clicking either checkbox will trigger the display of a few additional fields for that check - date requested, reason, and any notes.
Clicking Save on the form will save both the physical exam AND the pending check. You will then see that pending check on the Health Checks subtab.
Edit/Deleting a Pending Check
To edit or delete a pending check, simply click the blue "Edit" text on the right side of the pending check row. You can then update any of the three fields to edit, or click the red "Delete" to delete the pending check altogether.
Completing a Check
After a check has been requested via the animal's record, that check can be marked as complete via the Tasks page. On the Tasks page under the Medical tab, you'll see that there are separate tabs for Vet Checks and CVT Checks.
On this Task list, you can select a specific date range for pending checks, and you can also filter down based on animal type and location. In a list below the filters, you'll see all pending checks that are due over the date range you select.
To complete OR reschedule the pending check, click the checkbox to the right of the pending task you would like to update, and then click the blue "Complete" or "Reschedule" buttons. Completing the check will open up a new physical exam form to complete and save.
Clicking the red "X" on the far right side of each pending check task will delete the pending consult.
